The 410 acre parcel of land at the NW corner of Black Mountain Pkwy and Deer Valley Rd is a joint venture recently purchase by Taylor Morrison (Sanctuary) and Pulte Fireside. The land is zoned for 15 parcels consisting of 9 different single family detached home products ranging from 1500- 5000 sqft of living space. There will be gated and nongated sections, amenity centers, pocket parks, and an elementary school. Groundbreaking took place in spring of 2017, models open spring of 2018 and the first homes completing construction winter of 2018. Although the development is NOT part of the Desert Ridge Master Plan, Sky Crossing has been annexed as part of the PVUSD. Until the new elementary school is opened those students will be attending Wilfire Elementary. The community land and hardscapes will resemble Aviano and Fireside.
The community will have 3.9 homes per acre so approximately 1621 homes. Black Mountain Blvd will be 6 lanes total with 24" wide median and be widened in 2018. the community center will look and be very similar to the Aviano and Fireside centers. The gated area will be the maroon area of the map and mostly single story builder lots will be intermingled. Sky Crossing will have perimeter walls just like Aviano. The existing power lines will be buried.
